Dr Rachel Megahy, Senior Clinical Psychologist, BSc (Hons), DClinPsych, CPsychol
Rachel has been working as a Clinical Psychologist in the NHS since 2006. Currently she works part time in her NHS role which specialises in eating disorders and obesity as well as general adult mental health.
Rachel works with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, stress, psychological issues caused by physical health problems (e.g. diabetes, chronic pain), phobias, obsessive-compulsive issues (OCD), personality issues, low self-esteem, managing life transitions (such as retirement or having a baby) and many more issues.
She specialises in working with individuals suffering from eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder) and those who have experienced psychological trauma, including childhood sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Rachel is compassionate and always works with clients to build a shared understanding of their difficulties and build an individual treatment plan based on their needs. It is important to her that she can provide a safe, trusting and welcoming environment and she will always do her best to put clients at ease.
Rachel gained both her Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons) in Psychology and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) from The University of Edinburgh.
She is an experienced supervisor and regularly supervises other professionals and trainee clinical psychologists.
Rachel has Chartered Psychologist status from the British Psychological Society (BPS), which reflects the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise. She is also a member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and IPT-UK.
Dr Lesley Walker, Senior Counselling Psychologist, DCounsPsych, MSc, CPsychol
Lesley is an associate of Prism Psychology and is available for expert witness reports, corporate training and neuropsychological assessments.
